Jason Schmidt grew up in Dallas, Texas. He attended the University of North Texas where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Radio, Television and Film in 1995. He attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now known as Texas A&M University School of Law), graduating with his Juris Doctorate in 1999. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in November 1999 and to the Oklahoma Bar in April 2012. His practice encompasses workers compensation defense in Texas and Oklahoma, insurance defense litigation and other insurance defense and civil litigation.
He has co-authored Update on Lawyer Conduct Issues for the Worker’s Compensation Lawyer, February (2003). He has presented various CLE courses in Texas addressing workers compensation and ethics. Jason has also presented updates on the new Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Act and Rules, January (2014).
Jason is married with two children. He is a member of Dallas Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the State Bar of Oklahoma. Jason is licensed to practice before all Texas state courts; all Oklahoma state courts; as well as the Northern District Court of Texas and the United States Supreme Court.
