Worker’s Compensation Defense

For more than three decades, our attorneys have represented insurance companies, certified self-insureds and employers before the Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers Compensation (DWC); State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) as well as judicial appeals in State and Federal Court.  Our firm is equipped to handle the most complex and significant financial exposure workers’ compensation and third-party liability cases, involving major injuries and fatalities. Our clients operate in a variety of industries, including staffing, manufacturing, construction, retail, restaurants, and transportation. The DWC has 20 field offices where administrative trials are conducted. Our firm handles matters throughout the entire state of Texas on a regular basis. Our workers compensation team includes former DWC Administrative Law Judges and past President of the Workers Compensation Section of the State Bar of Texas.

We have an exceptional and well-regarded workers’ compensation defense practice, with all of our attorneys defending cases before both the Texas Department of Insurance and in the state and federal courts. Our Workers Compensation team offers a full range of services to self-insured employers, insurance companies and corporations including litigation defense, risk management counseling, and consulting services.

In addition, we represent workers compensation carriers, third-party administrators and employers defending alleged Administrative violations issued by Texas Department of Insurance.  Our firm also serves as a DWC Board Representative for carriers and certified self-insureds.

Our firm also provides services for our clients including Designated Doctor Exams, post DD-RME’s and Peer Reviews.

We routinely provide TDI approved continuing education seminars for employers, insurers, brokers, adjusters and third-party claim administrators on workers’ compensation, employment, and risk management issues. Please contact us for a list of current CE seminars.
